55,000 airmen were killed while serving with Royal Air Force Bomber Command during World War Two.
A total of around 180 aircrew lost there lives while stationed at RAF Abingdon and 70 of them in the fields around the Abingdon
area. A further 38 aircrew were lost while serving at RAF Stanton Harcourt and also 112 Abingdon based Whitley aircrew
while on detachment at RAF St Eval in Cornwall.
This site is dedicated to all the men and women of 10 OTU
who served at RAF Abingdon, RAF Stanton Harcourt and RAF St Eval during WW2. Let us not forget
them.
